Who is home help assistance intended for?

Living at Home’s home help services are available to everyone over the age of 18.

So, if you live with cerebral palsy and need help getting to and from college or work, if you’re in your twenties, or if you’re in your seventies and live with Parkinson’s disease and need help with personal care, home help may be an excellent option for you.

Home help isn’t just for the elderly or people who live alone.

We can assist couples when one needs extensive assistance and the other only requires assistance with household chores.

The best aspect of home help is that it is provided in the place you feel the most secure, protected, and comfortable: your home.

What kind of home help assistance is available to me?

Home help assistance can range from as little as 30 minutes per week with a visiting care professional to round-the-clock assistance with live-in care.

Care can be adapted and tailored to your specific needs.

With home help assistance, you may require a few visits one week to assist with cleaning and shopping, but the following week you may want assistance attending appointments and overnight support in addition to your regular visits.

And if you realise that you need extra help at home with personal care, mobility, and keeping up with cleaning on a daily basis, you may want to consider moving to live-in care.

This is when a care professional stays with you in your home and is available anytime you need them.

We can provide support for your specific health condition in addition to home help and live-in care.

Whether you’re living with dementia, multiple sclerosis, or recuperating from a stroke, we make sure that all our care professionals are trained to help with the symptoms of certain ailments, with some even becoming specialists in specific health fields such as dementia.

If your usual care professional takes a holiday, or if you need help at home after being discharged from the hospitalrespite care is a terrific way to get home help for a short period of time until you’re feeling more like yourself again or until your care professionals returns from their holiday.

We can even look after your loved one while you’re away on holiday  if you regularly look after them or if you’re concerned about leaving them alone.

We can provide a package of care for one to two weeks that ensures they have everything they need while you’re away, giving you and your family peace of mind.
