We've also implemented procedures to ensure that everyone gets a full break, giving you the opportunity to de-stress and clear your mind.

We regularly check in with our care professionals at all levels to address any areas of concern.

This way, we don't burden our team with unrealistic expectations while still giving each person the flexibility they need.

What is the average number of hours a care professional works?

The hours you work will vary depending on the position you choose.

Our care professionals work between 16 and 45 hours a week on average.

Because we are committed to teaching and fostering long-term team members, our opportunities range from full-time to part-time permanent positions.

Our senior positions are naturally more demanding and may require longer shifts.

Our part-time positions enable you to work fewer hours while still having the option of picking up extra shifts.

We use a weekly rota system to guarantee that your hours are convenient for you.

Part-time care professionals or care assistants

This is our most adaptable position, with shifts ranging from early mornings to late nights and everything in between.

We also have weekend-only packages available.

A part-time care job is ideal for those whose schedules do not align with traditional employment hours.

Our part-time positions range from 16 to 24 hours per week, making them ideal for people with children or other obligations outside of work.

It's vital to note that all of our care professional roles demand complete devotion and commitment.

Though you will have some freedom in scheduling shifts, you will be required to keep regular appointments with the client in order to create and maintain trust.

Full-time care professionals or care assistants

Your core minimum as a full-time care professional will be 30 hours per week.

There is always the possibility of taking on more hours, whether due to a staff absence or holiday cover.

If you’re looking to advance your career, you could work up to 40 hours per week.

While full-time care positions need more hours per week on average, we can still provide the same flexibility as for part-time positions.

If you require time off during the week, you can discuss this with your manager and work around the rota plan.

Senior care professionals or care assistants

These positions normally have the same hours as a standard care professional position, but you will be required to devote a certain number of hours per week to your leadership responsibilities.

This will allow you to train and support your colleagues and new care professionals add link without interfering with your time with the client.

You will never feel stuck in your work as a senior care professional, as you will be challenged to continue growing and developing through ongoing training.

To become a senior care professional, you'll need to have completed your Level 3 in Health and Social Care, a qualification we help all our employees obtain.

Live-in care professional

Providing live-in care is our most hands-on client-facing role, so you can expect to work roughly 8–10 hours every day.

This is a devoted profession that may require you to work more than 40 hours each week.

You will always be relieved of your duties to allow for a proper rest, and you will receive ongoing support from your manager, with additional help accessible via the on-call option when needed.

As a live-in care professional, you can develop close relationships with your clients, making your work a pleasure every single day.

Care managers

Working in one of our most senior positions, you will be given increased responsibilities.

Although the standard working hours are 40 hours per week, you will be responsible for the health and safety of clients and staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You are responsible for scheduling cover of the emergency on-call line at all times and ensuring all care and support tasks are covered.
